This clinic is for boys and girls in three specific age categories: ages 7-10, 11-12, and 13-16 years (including high school athletes). Athletes will be grouped together by ability within their specified age groups. The clinic will be geared toward new and intermediate level youth runners. Youth involved in other sports such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse and hockey looking to improve their endurance and running form are also strongly encouraged to attend. The clinic will involve age and ability appropriate distance running with each session supplemented with instruction in topics such as dynamic and static stretching, development of proper running form, cross training, race visualization, running safety and the importance of proper nutrition. Our goal is to create an informative and challenging running experience for each child while developing and building their confidence and aerobic capacity.
